The Cincinnati Reds have been without their ace, Hunter Greene, since June 3. When is he going to return to the mound for the Reds?

Opening Day starter Hunter Greene has been sidelined by a groin injury for all but three starts (14 innings) since May 7.

Hunter Greene has been on the injured list with a right groin strain since June 4. He was set to go on a rehab appearance with Triple-A Louisville before having a setback. He was sent to Goodyear, Arizona to continue his rehab and throwing program.

Reds broadcast reporter Jim Day shared an update Friday night. Greene just threw 30 pitches off a mound at the Reds' Arizona complex. His next step will be to throw two innings in an Arizona Complex League game. Once Cincinnati feels good about Greene's performance in the ACL, he'll be elevated to Triple-A Louisville.

Greene threw 30 pitches off of a mound at the Reds team complex in Goodyear, Arizona. If all goes well with his recovery, Greene will throw two innings in an Arizona Complex League game very soon. Should the recovery from that go as planned, he will then head to Louisville.
