The event Tuesday night at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures was a stand-in for the annual Oscars luncheon usually held about a month earlier but scrubbed because of the Southern California wildfires.

Just five nights before the 97th Oscars, the Academy hosted a gathering at its museum in place of the traditional Oscar Nominees Luncheon, which was canceled in the wake of the Los Angeles wildfires.

Nominees for the 97th Academy Awards gathered at the Academy Museum to keep up the annual tradition of taking a class photo of the year’s contenders.
