A huge fireball lit up the skies over southern Japan on late on Tuesday, stunning onlookers in several prefectures. Footage captured the night being illuminated by a dazzling blue-green hue as the celestial object shot across the sky.

People in western Japan have reported seeing what appeared to be a ball of light falling from the sky on Tuesday night.
