Reigning Europa League champions Spurs are undefeated to start the Champions League season, but are coming off a defeat in Premier League action
Thomas Frank’s men have taken four points from games with Villarreal and Bodo/Glimt and a win here would put them in a strong position in the 36-team league. Monaco drew with Angers at the weekend and have yet to win in the Champions League.
Guglielmo Vicario was the Tottenham Hotspur hero as the Italian goalkeeper produced a heroic individual display to earn his side a draw in Monaco, with the match finishing 0-0 despite a host of opportunities for the home side.
Their last stalemate came during the final month of Antonio Conte's reign in March 2023 and was an especially frustrating one, as it resulted in Spurs meekly bowing out of the Champions League against AC Milan 1-0 on aggregate. Spurs have made a solid start to the Champions League season, though, taking four points from games with Villarreal and Bodo/Glimt. Monaco claimed a 2-2 draw with Manchester City in their last European game after suffering a 4-1 defeat at Club Brugge in their league phase opener.
