A Winter Storm Warning and a Winter Weather Advisory have been issued for much of the Tri-State, making Tuesday a First Alert Weather Day, according to the FOX19 NOW Weather Team. A system is moving into the Ohio Valley that will bring snow to Northern Kentucky first Tuesday morning.

On Monday, winter alerts were in place across the central Plains, the Midwest, the Ohio Valley and the mid-Atlantic ahead of two storms expected this week.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for portions of central Indiana and east central, north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky. It is in effect until 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected across the area with significant amounts of snow with accumulations greater than four inches possible.
