Making matters worse is the fact that two of Indiana’s key players for this year, Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin, have both already gone down with injury, and on Tuesday, the team got an update on both players that wasn’t exactly encouraging.
As the Mavericks prepare for their fifth game of the year against the Indiana Pacers, the team announced that Davis had been added to the official injury report for the first time in the 2025-26 season (h/t Mike Curtis of Dallas Morning News). His status for the upcoming matchup is listed as probable with bilateral Achilles tendinopathy.
