President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will withdraw from the U.N.’s top human rights body and will not resume funding for the U.N. agency helping Palestinian refugees.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov reiterated Moscow's position that the only way to resolve the Middle East conflict was through the creation of a Palestinian state to exist side-by-side with Israel.

Contradicting President Trump, Saudi Arabia said that establishing ties with Israel would depend on the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
