Carter stamp reveal held at Plains high school
A preview of the Carter forever stamp was held in the auditorium of the Plains historic high school. The school, which taught Jimmy Carter, is now a part of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Park. Lead Park Ranger Quentin Bucker told of the Park’s work in telling the Carter story.
USPS unveils Jimmy Carter forever stamp
The United States Postal Service will honor former president Jimmy Carter with a new forever stamp. USPS held a special ceremony on Saturday in Carter’s hometown of Plains, Ga. with members of the Carter family and their friends in attendance. The stamp will feature a 1982 oil painting of the 39th president.
