In less than 24 hours, some of the world’s best runners will hit the streets of Chicago for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

The 47th running of the Chicago Marathon will air on NBC 5 Chicago, Telemundo Chicago, and TeleXitos beginning at 8 a.m. ET. You can also stream the race live on NBC 5 Chicago News, YouTube, or by logging into Peacock and accessing the broadcast via the homepage on race day.

ABC7 Chicago's live coverage of the Columbus Day parade goes from noon to 2 p.m. The parade will travel down State Street from Wacker Drive to Van Buren Street. Greg Dutra, Ryan Chiaverini and Tanja Babich will host ABC7's coverage live on air and wherever you stream. There are also events ongoing for Indigenous Peoples' Day.

More than 50,000 runners, including some of the best in the world, hit the streets of Chicago for the 2025 race. The live broadcast of the Chicago Marathon starts at 7 a.m. CT today, Sunday, Oct. 12, with extensive live coverage of top athletes, winning professional moments, and friends and family crossing the finish line until 3 p.m.

The scouting is a key component for a production that covers a lot of ground. And it’s only the beginning for the 180-plus staffers who will bring the race to screens around the world. NBC 5 begins broadcasting with a prerace special at 6:30  a.m. Sunday. Race coverage on NBC 5 and Telemundo runs from 7 to 11 a.m.
