Launch Internet Explorer, click the "Tools" button on the Menu bar, and then click "Compatibility View Settings" to open the Compatibility View Settings window.
In IE11, click on Tools and choose Compatibility View Settings. Uncheck “Use Microsoft Compatibility lists” and Google’s search engine should work again.
Microsoft is planning to make further tweaks to the "compatibility view" feature in Internet Explorer (IE) 8 when it releases the next public test build in early 2009.
