The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) reports a stolen dump truck led to a multi-county police chase.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on I-270, just west of U.S. 62.

The 22-year-old was “attempting to pass other vehicles” on a Jasper County highway when he collided with the dump truck, a state trooper said.
