According to a recent report by Ken Rosenthal, the Phillies are back interested in acquiring Luis Robert, Jr. from the White Sox. This makes some sense as the team continues to look for ways to upgrade their outfield.
MLB offseason continues into another week, as several top free agents are pending, and at the same time, the trade market is also buzzing with new names.
In 2025, they effectively paid slot value for high school shortstop and 10th overall pick Billy Carlson. The Sox went above slot value in 2024 for left-hander and fifth overall pick Hagen Smith, who became the 12th player to receive a bonus of $8 million or more. It also was the largest for a left-handed pitcher in draft history.
