The former lead singer of a popular Scottish rock band has responded to being replaced after a decade with the group. Carl Sentance has spoken out after Nazareth replaced him with new lead singer Gianni Pontillo.
The news on the band’s future also comes as May’s health has been in the headlines across the past year. The rock icon, 78, had a stroke last year, and in a recent interview with ITV’s “Love Your Weekend,” he outlined his routine as he tries to stay healthy.
Perry Bamonte, who was the guitarist and keyboardist for the legendary rock band The Cure, has died at age 65.
Agnew, who turns 80 next year, leads the band’s current lineup, including guitarist Jimmy Murrison, drummer Lee Agnew (Pete’s son) and Pontillo. Nazareth has also continued to release new music over the years, most recently 2022’s “Surviving the Law” (with Sentance on lead vocals).
