Unexpected ascensions in both the AFC and NFC threaten to throw the playoff picture into disarray with Week 10 almost in the books.

The New England Patriots have won seven in a row and are tied atop the NFL standings with the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts at 8-2. Still, some oddsmakers aren’t completely sold on the Patriots as top Super Bowl contenders.

In addition to the Chiefs, the Detroit Lions (+750) are a team with three or more losses that has stayed fairly strong in the betting odds to win the Super Bowl, with league-leading teams like the Indianapolis Colts (+1100), Denver Broncos (+1800) and New England Patriots (+2000) still lagging behind them.
