Republican Steve Hilton and Democrat Tom Steyer lead the latest CBS News poll in the California gubernatorial race as candidates prepare for a televised debate.

Candidates were invited to the debate if they had at least 1% support in recent polls from Emerson College and the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies.
