Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson received another demotion with the New York Giants on Wednesday.

There was some optimism surrounding Russell Wilson’s situation with the New York Giants after rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a head injury in Sunday’s 24-20 loss to the Chicago Bears. Dart was pulled from the game and was unable to return after being diagnosed with a concussion.

Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson finds himself at yet another career crossroads, having been benched by the New York Giants despite expressing a strong desire to remain with the struggling franchise.

With the Giants up 10 points late in the third quarter, the rookie quarterback took off on what would have been a first-down run. But at the end of the scramble, he lost the ball and slammed his head hard into the turf.
