Phoenix Union High School District is implementing additional safety measures after a student was stabbed and killed in a classroom at Maryvale High School, prompting community concerns about campus safety.

Students at Maryvale High School are returning to campus on Aug. 25, following a stabbing almost a week ago. The incident resulted in the death of a 16-year-old student. The suspect is being charged as an adult.
