NEW YORK (AP) — President Donald Trump has a new political foil: New York’s Democratic nominee for mayor, Zohran Mamdani.

U.S. Rep. Brandon Gill called for New York City Democratic mayoral primary winner Zohran Mamdani to "go back to the Third World" in response to a campaign video in which Mamdani eats food with his hands.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, another New York Republican rumored to be eyeing a gubernatorial run, declared on X that Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul must be in “full-blown panic mode” and warned that “New Yorkers will defeat you to save our state.”
