Flight attendants on American Airlines flight that crashed were based out of Charlotte
The flight attendants of a passenger jet that collided with an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. Wednesday were based out of Charlotte, an Association of Flight Attendants spokesperson confirmed to Axios.

CBS reported that the crew of the commercial American Eagle jet was Charlotte-based. Debi Epstein, the former wife of flight attendant Ian Epstein, confirmed that he was killed in the air collision between the jet and a military helicopter.

The 34-year-old was one of four Charlotte-based American Eagle flight 5342 crew members who died after the plane from Wichita, Kansas, collided with a military helicopter over Washington, D.C.
