The Justice Department has opened an investigation into whether police officials in Washington, D.C., have falsified crime data.

The MPDC has set a juvenile curfew in the U Street corridor to enhance public safety, affecting those 17 and under from August 21-24, between 8-11 p.m.

The city’s Attorney General Brian Schwalb filed a lawsuit calling for an emergency restraining order to block the move, accusing the Trump Administration of implementing a “hostile takeover” of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) that would lead to “imminent, irreparable harm”.

The inquiry into whether data was manipulated to make crime rates seem lower is being run out of the office of the U.S. attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro.

An ice cream seller who was stabbed to death in north-west London has been named by the Metropolitan Police. Shazad Khan, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene after officers responded to reports of an altercation in Monks Park in Wembley at 6.10pm on Tuesday.
