Missouri up to No. 15 in AP Poll after beating Auburn
The Missouri Tigers were rewarded on Sunday after their 23-17 double overtime defeat of the Auburn Tigers. In the latest AP Top 25, Missouri was bumped up one spot from No. 16 to No. 15. Week 8 of the college football season concluded four consecutive weeks of Auburn playing teams ranked in the top 25. That is life in the SEC, though.
AP employees don’t vote themselves, but they do choose the voters. AP Top 25 voters comprise around 60 writers and broadcasters who cover college football for AP members and other select outlets. The goal is to have every state with a Football Bowl Subdivision school represented by at least one voter.
Despite beating the No. 25 Michigan Wolverines 31-13 on Oct. 11, the USC Trojans are no longer ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll entering week 9. Michigan being ranked over USC isn't the only controversy from the recent AP Top 25 rankings.
