In recent days, there was talk around the NBA that Bradley Beal was looking for a buyout of his contract with the Phoenix Suns, and that if he was granted a buyout, the Los Angeles Lakers were one of a few teams that would have interest in him.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is the only NBA player with a no-trade clause after the Phoenix Suns bought out the contract of Bradley Beal, who has since agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers.

All this comes after the Phoenix Suns traded superstar Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and the 10th pick (Khaman Maluach) in the 2025 NBA Draft. The Boston Celtics also began a refresh by trading Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trailblazers and Kristaps Porziņģis to the Atlanta Hawks.

The Phoenix Suns are reportedly very eager to part ways with Bradley Beal, but cutting ties with him isn’t easy. That’s because Beal has a very specific and unique contract, so he has to be deeply involved in any potential trade.
