Friday night's game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets was briefly stopped after a fan charged onto the court and rushed toward Cavs star Donovan Mitchell. The incident occurred with the Cavaliers up 121-115 late in the fourth quarter.

After a humbling season-opening loss, coach Jordi Fernandez challenged his Nets to show more fight and his stars, Cam Thomas and Michael Porter Jr., to give more on both ends. He got all of that and more. And it still wasn’t enough, as Brooklyn dropped its home opener 131-124 to Cleveland before a crowd of 17,548 at Barclays Center.

A game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets grew a little extra exciting, as a fan rushed onto the court during the fourth quarter of the game. The fan disrupted the game with five minutes left in the matchup in Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Cleveland faces Brooklyn for an Eastern Conference matchup Friday. The teams square off Friday for the first time this season.
