Rashee Rice’s return fuels dominant Chiefs’ win over the Raiders
The Kansas City Chiefs delivered their most dominant performance of the season on Sunday, collecting a 31-0 shutout of their AFC West rivals: the Las Vegas Raiders.
After more than a year off the field, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice returned to action on Sunday.
Hours prior to kick-off, Rice made sure to pay tribute to the other players in the Chiefs' wide receiver room with a special custom-made T-shirt. The shirt included graphic illustrations of Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown standing next to each other and had each of their nicknames written at the top: RR-X-Jet.
Without Rice in the lineup, Kansas City ranks eighth overall in passing yards per game this season while posting a 3-3 record. After losing their first two games, the Chiefs are only one random game-winning Trevor Lawrence scramble from a 4-0 run, and Rice's return should only bolster their chances in a decimated AFC.
Rice was trending toward being a dynamic option for the Chiefs—and fantasy players—in his first two seasons, with 103 catches for 1,226 yards and nine touchdowns in 20 games. He was excellent in four games last year before injury cut his season short, with 24 catches for 288 yards and two scores.
Rice suited up in black leather-studded pants and a cropped jacket monogrammed on the front with an "M," his eyes hidden behind black shades. The jacket appeared similar to the 6th NBRHD "Star Studded" leather jacket by Sole Play. ($190).
