Nate Eaton, a right-handed hitting infielder/outfielder on the Red Sox’ 40-man roster, is en route to Boston, according to multiple sources.
The Red Sox are on the verge of adding some much-needed pop at first base, as the club is close to finalizing a deal with veteran free agent Nathaniel Lowe, a source told MLB.com. The team has not confirmed the agreement.
