“I don’t think we’re going to see him back to throwing like he normally does at any point this year,” Boone said.

The Yankees slugger is still dealing with the effects of the flexor strain in his right arm, but he has progressed in his throwing program as the wait for his return to the outfield continues.

“Overall, we expect to be better,” Boone said, offering words he’s repeated countless times throughout frustrating stretches this year.
