Two rare tornadoes touched down in Australia last week as severe storms ripped through the region. 🌪️ On top of the tornadoes, these storms brought incredible amounts of rain. Sydney saw 4.8 inches (122 mm) of rain in a single day, the city’s wettest in 146 years, leading to 850 emergency calls and 34 flood rescues overnight. Tornadoes aren’t common in Australia, with only about 50 reported each year, according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. | WeatherBug
