Just spotted our first Bowerbird courtship structure, or ‘bower’. This bower is built by the male as a type of display to attract and impress a potential female partner. The nest itself is built by the female above ground, generally in a tree or shrub from what I understand. It’s a shame there’s so much plastic around that it’s worked its way into these fella’s favourite’s list. But still, cool to see.
