The Country Liberal Party has promised to introduce voluntary assisted dying in the NT. An analysis done by ACL found that of the public submissions to the Territory inquiry, 57 per cent of individuals opposed legislating VAD. Instead of drafting VAD laws, the CLP should be closing the healthcare gap – investing in preventative care and education, palliative care, pain management, and mental health services that reach every community.
