A joint operation by the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) and the Nzema East Blue Water Guards has dismantled a major illegal mining hub along the Ankobra River at Dwira Ashem, Western Region. Over 1,000 miners fled the site during the raid. Authorities destroyed 34 changfan machines, 11 cylinders, 3 generators, 5 pumping machines, and other equipment.
