Our Lackawanna heritage locomotive has been restored and is ready to roll across our 22-state network. 🚂 Check out the outstanding craftsmanship from our talented team at the Juniata Locomotive Shop! It took 10 carmen 750 hours to blast, prep, and paint NS 1074, with over 105 gallons of primer, color coat, and clear coat used. Now, both the Virginian and Lackawanna engines have been repainted, and in the coming years, our other heritage locomotives will undergo their own touchups or repainting,

The Southern No. 6133 diesel locomotive purchased by Southern Railway in 1950, completing the company's transition from steam to diesel. The engine ran all across Southern's lines and ended a her career powering memorable trains from Salisbury to Asheville. The Southern No. 2601 diesel locomotive, purchased by Southern Railway in 1963, was one of 120 such locomotives the company ordered over two years, workhorses that pulled fast freight trains.
